Coefficient	A multiplicative factor such as the constant in front of a polynomial term.
Geometric Mean	A method of averaging n numbers by multiplying them together and taking the nth root (rather than the usual "arithmetic" method of adding and dividing).
Infinity	An unbounded quantity greater than every real number.
Quadratic Equation	A polynomial equation in a single variable containing the square of the variable, but no higher powers.
Quadratic Formula	The formula that gives the roots of a quadratic equation.
Root	For a function, any arguments for which the function assumes the value of zero.
Subset	A portion of a set. Subsets can also consist of the entire set or be empty.
Union	For two sets A and B, the set of all elements appearing either in A or in B, including any duplicates. MathWorld
