Mensa IQ Test

Before you begin the test please notice that the test is timed. You have 40 minutes to answer 39 questions.
The level of difficulty of the questions increases gradually.
If you find two logical answers to one question you should choose the simplest answer.
You are not rewarded for finishing before time is up - so take your time! Wrong answers do not influence your result - so guess rather than omit a question!
Good luck with the test!

The concept of intelligence quotient(IQ)was created by the German psychologist william stern in 1912 as a tool for evaluating the mental maturity of children. he found that the relationship between children`s mental age(MA)and chronological(i.e.physical)age(CA)is constant and he termed this relationship "intelligence quotient"(IQ). IQ=100*MA/CA
With adults the concept has become a commonly used method in relation to e.g. military drafting sessions and general employment procedures, but it is also used for assessing brain damage, etc. futhermore, there are societies for people with a particularly high IQ, of which Mensa(the top 2%of the population)is probably the best known.
In adults the IQ is calculated on the basis of a known 'normal' level. The median value is set at 100,and the "normal"ranges from 90 to 110 using the deviation 15(see information on deviation). The entrance lever for Mensa members is 130.IQ is distributed between the values 0 to 200,but app.50%of the population is situated within the 'normal'range. One out of two people has an IQ below100.
